This book is SUCH a classic! It basically defines the 12-year-old girl's life, although that could change as girls are wanting to grow up younger and younger...
Margaret Simon moves to a new neighborhood and meets Nancy, the neighbor girl that is in her 6th grade class. Margaret, Nancy, Gretchen, and Janie form a club and discuss things like bras, boys, and their periods (or lack thereof). Margaret is also struggling to decide which religion she should "join", her mother's side or her father's. This is such a sweet story, and even though it was written in 1970, it is still very much relavant today!
