I got this idea for a book review blog when I read "Ask Hayley, Ask Justin", a Christian advice book written by Hayley DiMarco and Justin Lookadoo (yep, real name) and decided that the book was the BIGGEST PIECE OF SHIT I HAVE EVER READ IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I just had to share with the world how utterly horrible and insane this book was. But we'll get to that later.
I decided to create yet another new blog, just for book reviews, so my "life and rants" page won't get cluttered, I can have another fresh start, and so all of my reviews will be organized and in one place.
Here's how it's gonna work:
My personal bookshelf is organized in alphabetical order, so in alphabetical order according to the book title, I will review every single book on my personal bookshelf (series will be one post). If I decide to review a book that I do NOT own, it will be credited as a "guest appearance". Somewhere on this blog will be an ode to the library, so watch for that. Tags will be given according to the book genre or author.
Keep in mind, many of these books are mainstream, but I will try to keep the reviews fresh from the perspective of an ordinary fifteen-year-old girl. Some books are not readily available in Border's, Barnes and Noble, or the library, but I will review them nonetheless.
Books rated on a 10 star scale.
And you might ask, Where did I come up with this name? Well, the answer's simple: I liked the ring of Jennifer's Bookshelf, because the nickname on the internet I use is Jen, but the URL for Jennifer's Bookshelf was already taken. Jenna's Bookshelf was closer to my name, still had Jen in it, and was available. :)
Happy reading!
Jenna
